Introduction

1989 Privilege P48 sailing catamaran “Mia” 14.7m length, 8.0m beam and 1.3m draft, solid hand laid fibreglass construction.

Description

Significant amounts of work and new equipment has been fitted to Mia during major works in 2021 during around 12 months on hardstand. She was put back in the water in April 2021 and has done multiple reef trips from Cairns. There is still a large amount of major fit out work required to bring her back to her complete former glory. Unfortunately, due to work commitments we are unable to complete the fit out and will be very sad to see her go. Many new parts fitted during 2021 listed below. Replaced all through hole fittings and valves with Trudesign composite fittings props, wiring and starting panels. Now approx. 60hrs. 2x New Racor fuel water separators housings and filters installed at same time. Antifoul done in April 2021 New rudders manufactured with internal stainless-steel construction covered by moulded solid fibreglass New escape hatch fitted Majority of starboard hull is completely stripped internally and ready for rebuilding to original or even a new layout to suit owner. I have all panels ready to refit so elbow grease and paint is all that will be needed to complete. 5 berth 4 head layout 2x Stainless steel water tanks for total 760L water storage with fresh water pump 2x Stainless steel diesel tanks for total 540L diesel storage While moored the vessel was broken into and many items stolen. I have ordered the replacements and am waiting for them to arrive. I will be fitting these asap. Or if sold prior to arrival the new owner will need to fit. I have a lot of bits and pieces that will go with the vessel as well. There is enough kiwi grip to redo the decks and two pack in Matterhorn white for chine up repaint. For someone who isn’t afraid of a bit of work this is a bargain, once complete it’s a 400k ocean capable live aboard vessel. I am currently living on board, however, new career is taking me away from the coast. So one of my options is to sell and the other to hardstand. I feel the boat deserves a new owner who will finish the job and enjoy.
